Daniyah Jezel is a proud Washington, D.C. native, and a child of a family from North Carolina. She grew up in a Baptist household where she began her singing journey in the choir. The alumna of Nazareth University (B.F.A. Musical Theatre) began performing at the age of 11 when she was a background dancer in The Wiz, but the love truly arose when she was cast as Ariel's understudy in Little Mermaid and Fiona in Shrek when she was 14. Being a part of these productions really opened her eyes, showing her that this was exactly where she wanted to be. While she went on to work with a local theatre company based in Alexandria Virginia, Momentum Collective Inc., she then found a love for hair and makeup going into high school. She ended her senior year playing Grace Ferrell in Annie and was very proud of the performer that she was growing into. She has since then gone on to work with Blackfriars Theatre, the Jewish Community Center, and many other companies in the Rochester area. She has taken her gifts across the country performing at the Totem Pole Playhouse in Pennsylvania and landing the Tina Turner Musical 2nd National Tour. And if that wasn’t enough the traveling does not stop there! She is now on her second cruise ship contract with the Norwegian Aqua and the first being Oceania Vista. Outside of performing and travel, you may find Daniyah songwriting, doing hair, makeup, modeling, cooking, singing with her family or listening/singing jazz music. She is happily represented by Hudson Artists Agency and beyond excited to share all of her gifts with the world while standing in the face of adversity. Welcome O life!
